Mondragon University is a private university established in 1997. It is located in Basque Country. This University is headquartered in Mondragon. It is a part of Mondragon Corporation. It is established with the association of three educational cooperatives belonging to Mondragon Corporation like Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa "Jose M Arizmendiarrieta" S.Coop, MU Enpresagintza S.Coop and Irakasle Eskola S.Coop. Before the establishment of Mondragon University the three educational cooperatives were attached to University of Basque Country. The President of Mondragon University is Javier Sotil. MU has four faculties and schools: • Superior Polytechnic School, with three campuses; the main one in Mondragon, a second in Ordicia and a third in Hernani. • Faculty of Business, with two campuses, one in Onati and one in Irun. • Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences, with two campuses, one in Escoriaza and another in Arechavaleta. • Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences - Basque Culinary Center, in San Sebastian. The university has an innovation and entrepreneurship centre, Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria, in Bilbao. Mondragon Unibertsitatea has been rated as excellent in several parameters of the five dimensions analyzed in the U-Multirank university ranking. U-Multirank is considered the second university ranking worldwide and is considered as the second showcase of university results globally. It offers degree courses, master degree courses and doctorate courses and special university courses. MU currently has seven thousand students. It offers twenty two undergraduate degrees, thirteen masters’ degrees and university expert courses. The academic staffs of the Mondragon University are four hundred. Mondragon University carries out research work in different areas of Technology, Business management, education, Cooperation, Gastronomy. The research teams under area of technology are Mechanical Behaviour and Product Design, Science, Technology and processing of materials, Information and Communication Technologies, Electrical power, Design and Industrial Management Processes. The teams under Business management are entrepreneurship, Open for business, internationalization, Socially Responsible Business Models and under Education arte Innovation and intervention in multicultural and multilingual society, Innovation and intervention in inclusive education. The team working in cooperation are Cooperative, self-management and sustainable human development. Gastronomy team is working about Healthy habits, Sensoriality and Consumer Behavior, Drink Development News, Design and Technologies hotel industry and restaurants. Today, the university has established itself in several laboratories.
