Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications
Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications was established in 1942 and was one of the earliest schools of our Party and army for systematically training telecommunication talents. In 1958, it was converted into Nanjing Institute of Posts and Telecommunications upon the approval of the State Council. In April 2005, it was renamed as Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Having been a key university directly under the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (now the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) before, the institute was in February 2000 turned over to the co-administration by the Jiangsu Government and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, with the Jiangsu Government assuming the main administration.

NUPT now runs 3 mobile post-doctoral stations, 3 first-level discipline doctorate programs, 14 second-level discipline doctorate programs, 10 first-level discipline master’s degree programs, 34 second-level discipline master’s degree programs, 13 Profession-oriented master’s degree programs (fields), and 53 undergraduate programs. Three programs of the university have made the world’s top 1% on the ranking by ESI.
