The CCS National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM) Jaipur is a premier national level Institute set up by the Government of India in August 1988 to escalate the agricultural marketing system in the country to a level where it can go hand in hand with the production and market sentiments. It is an autonomous body under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. The Institute offers specialized training, research, consultancy, education and policy support in the field of agricultural marketing. NIAM should be the nodal agency for implementation of training, extension and research programs in Agricultural Marketing. To be a Centre of excellence to study and provide advice and assistance to public and private organization, institutions, co-operatives and individuals in India as well as internationally on policy issues, trading and marketing of the highest quality with the ultimate objective for helping millions of farmers and functionaries in Agricultural Marketing.
