The National University of the Littoral is one of the ancient universities situated in Santa Fe, Argentina. It has colleges and other academic facilities in Esperanza, Reconquista and Gálvez, also in Santa Fe Province.
The university began in 1889 as the Universidad Provincial de Santa Fe. The Argentine university reform of 1918 brought modernization and democratization to higher education in Argentina. The National University of the Littoral was established on October 17, 1919. The Comisión Nacional de Evaluación y Acreditación Universitaria, Argentina is the accreditation organization for the university. The university has over 39,999 students studying in various courses.
The university offers postgraduate and under graduate programs in the field of arts and humanities, business and social sciences, language and cultural, medicine and health, engineering, science and technology.
