The National University of Quilmes is one of the most important universities of Argentina, located in the heart of Southern Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area, in Bernal City, Quilmes. Today, the UNQ has over 11,000 graduate and postgraduate students.
The university was established in 1989 with the aim of the production, teaching and transmission of knowledge of the highest quality, in an environment of equality and diversity. There are about three million people living in the nearby region of the university, which centralizes 20% of the country’s industrial establishments.
The University provides 18 graduate programs (including 7 through its virtual university program established in 1998), as well as 4 masters degree programs and 2 doctorates. The UNQ’s essential functions are teaching, research, extension courses, human resources formation, technological development, productive innovation and culture promotion.
