Nemours Biomedical Research

Nemours Biomedical Research (NBR) is a branch of the Nemours Foundation with hospitals and clinics located in the Delaware Valley and in Florida. Research at Nemours improves the health and health care of all children.
The mission of Nemours Biomedical Research is to improve health and healthcare of children by seeking new approaches to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of childhood diseases and to educate the next generation of leaders in childrens health - from bench to bedside, clinic to community.
The symposium will kick off with the Grand Rounds presentation on National Institutes of Health research support and career development opportunities by Ralph Nitkin, deputy director of NIH’s National Center for Medical Rehabilitation.
The program also includes an introduction and brief talk by Vicky Funanage, director of biomedical research at Nemours, and Kathleen Matt, dean of the University of Delaware College of Health Sciences and executive director of the Delaware Health Sciences Alliance (DHSA).
