Nile Valley University is the public university Established in 1990. Nile Valley University (NVU) or Wadi El-Neel University is a public university located in Atbara, Sudan. Nile Valley University is a member of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World. As of September 2011, the university was a member in good standing of the Association of African Universities. The University of the Valley of the Nile was established within the framework of the decisions of the revolution of higher education by a presidential decree issued on 14 June 1990. The University applies the annual semester system and the duration of the semester on average 16 weeks and the study is two semesters.
