The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) is an autonomous Spanish entity under the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism that performs the functions of reception, study and concession of the different types of Industrial Property granted in Spain, except Plant varieties and designations of origin.The new General Director of the OEPM is Patricia García-Escudero Márquez. Patricia García-Escudero holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and belongs to the Scale of Higher Qualifications of Autonomous Organizations of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, specialty Industrial Property.She has developed her professional career in the Spanish Office of Patents and Trademarks, where she joined the career of career manager in 1987 and has been the head of the Diffusion service, head of the Information and Dissemination Department, technical adviser in the Department Of Patents and Technological Information and head of the Area of ââDiffusion, Communication and Relation with the Company. She was currently Deputy Director General of Legal Coordination and International Relations at the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.
