RISE Research Institutes of Sweden is a network of Research and Technology Organizations (RTOs), completely or halfway possessed by the Swedish state. The RTOs inside RISE perform modern research and advancement. A portion of the RTOs likewise perform testing and accreditation. In 2012, the RISE RTOs had altogether 2195 workers and an aggregate turnover of 2.63 billion Swedish kronor. ISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB, in everyday speech RISE AB, is the Swedish state's holding organization for responsibility for RTOs of RISE. RISE AB's assignment is to assemble, create and reestablish the RTOs of RISE into a globally aggressive and proficient Swedish drive for modern research and innovation.
RISE AB was established in 1997 under the name Ireco Holding AB by the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications and the administration organization The Knowledge Foundation. The organization turned out to be entirely state-claimed in 2007. In 2009, the organization changed its name to RISE Research Institutes of Sweden Holding AB and got an extended command and fundamentally expanded assets. In August 2013, the organization changed its name to RISE AB.
The development of RISE – background In the autumn of 2014, a broad explanatory and vital venture was started among the co-proprietors of the RISE foundations, the purpose of which was to analyse the market share and business administrations of the RISE Group, alongside its qualities and the difficulties it confronts with a specific end goal to distinguish change potential, accomplish a more bound together vision of the organization and its future and objectives. The headquarters will be established in Gothenburg. The new RISE will be organised as six divisions: RISE Bioeconomy, RISE Built Environment, RISE ICT, RISE Bioscience and materials, RISE Safety & Transport, RISE Certification
