Ramon Llull University is a private university located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain established in 1990. The University is named after a famous writer and philosopher Ramon Llull who was born in the 13th century. Ramon Llull University comprises 11 higher education and research institutions with a long tradition and prestigious reputation.URL is one of the most innovative and modern universities in Spain with 14 centers and 3 Universities. This is a Urban campus. The creation of Normal School of Magisterium, of Barcelona has started in 1948 &In 1971 it is called as Blanquerna which is the pedagogical work of Ramon Llull. The inauguration of the Cister headquarters of University School of Magisterium has laid to a permanent formation in 1990. The Catalan Parliament of the Ramon Llull University has given unanimous approval in 1991. The Creation of University school of Nursing & Physiotherapy has started in the year 1992 but they started the inauguration of the building 2000. The creation of the Faculty of Communication Sciences has started in the year 1994 & they started the inauguration of new headquarters in 1996. The University School of Teaching & Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy in 1995. The beginning of the Change of denomination of the Faculty of Psychology, Sciences of Education and the Sport has started in the year 2001. The diploma of Human Nutrition and Dietetic & the change of denomination of the University School of Nursing , Physiotherapy and Nutrition. The Degrees of Journalism , Cinema ,TV, Advertising & Public Relations has started in the year 2008. The University School of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Nutrition become the Faculty of Health Sciences in 2009. The Beginning of Degree in Speech Therapy has started in (2011) , The Degree in International Relations in Faculty of Communication Sciences has started in (2012) & In 2014 The Beginning of the Degree in Pharmacy in Faculty of Health Sciences and IQS. The University of Ramon Llull University comprises of 14 schools and faculties. They are : Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences, School of Health and Science & School of Communication and International Relations, Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, University of Technical Engineering of Telecommunications, Higher School of Electronic and Computer Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Social Education and Social Work, ESDi School of Design, ESADE Business School, ESADE Law school, IQS School Of Engineering, IQS School of Management. These are the main branches in the University of Ramon Llull under this they are divided into several sub branches based on the related subjects and groups. In 2012 the Chinese Ministry has recognized and has recommended this institution for the students of China to take their Higher education studies in abroad. The (URL) is the first private University in Spain to get recognition. The Academic staff in this University is 1,297, the number of under-graduates is 13,696, and the number of postgraduates is 3,136. The URL is among the 100 best in the world in Social Sciences and Management. This holds the first University-Business conference. Researches and researchers Research is a priority activity at University Ramon Llull because it encourages the expansion of knowledge and the university’s educational capacity.URL has increased its own funds dedicated to R&D&I over the last few years and has prioritized efforts to obtain external funding (public and private) to finance this activity. At URL research activity centers on three strategic areas Technology: biotechnology and IT, Management & Social sciences and humanities. 51 research groups recognized by URL with more than 470 researchers working in the different departments in our university centers.
