Royal Australian Chemical Institute

Founded in 1917 and granted a Royal Charter in 1932, the RACI is the professional body for the chemical sciences in Australia. It acts both as the qualifying body in Australia for professional chemists, and as a learned society promoting the science and practice of chemistry. The RACI has 3,500 plus members with an extensive nationwide network. It has a presence in every State and Territory and members working across all Australian industrial sectors, in food and agriculture, climate and environment, energy and resources, health and biotechnology, education and the public service. It represents and caters for the professional needs of the full range of chemists and those with an interest in chemistry, providing targeted activities and services that encompass the profession of Chemistry in Australia.
