The S.H. Ho College is named after S. H. Ho (Ho Sin Hang), the Hong Kong businessman who founded Hang Seng Bank. In August 2006, Professor Samuel Sun, a professor of Biology in CUHK, was appointed Founding Master of S.H. Ho College. The S.H. Ho Centre for Digestive Health (CDH) is established by the generous donation from the S.H. Ho Foundation. S.H. Ho College’s objective is to provide high quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy service, to provide a diversity of other gastrointestinal and liver investigations, to provide gastrointestinal health education to public, to provide advanced endoscopic training for gastroenterologists and to provide training of colorectal cancer examination for primary health care professionals. The S.H. Ho College, along with the Morningside College and the CW Chu College, will be one of the first colleges in The Chinese University of Hong Kong using a fully residential and communal dining basis. It will take around 600 students, which is the largest of the three colleges adopting this system. This centre is equipped with state-of art medical equipment and aimed to provide high quality gastrointestinal and liver exam services and trainings to health care professionals. CDH is also an extension of private endoscopy service from the CUHK-PWH Medical Center. S.H. Ho Centre for Digestive Health also provides Health Care Professionals Training Programs like: Colon Capsule Endoscopy Training Flexible Sigmoidoscopy Training Registration of training programme for healthcare professionals
