Satavahana University has its foundations in the recent Post Graduate Center of Osmania and Kakatiya Universities. In the times of June 2008, the Post Graduate focus has been redesigned as Satavahana University. The University is named after the SATAVAHANA line that managed this district. Establishment for the foundation of the University was laid in July 2008 in 200 sections of land of principle grounds arranged in the quick neighbourhood of Karimnagar Town on Malkapur Road. The sprawling University ground is a wonderful backwoods like condition with untainted environment. The University began working from the fundamental grounds from September 2012 and purposes to move the whole PG Programs into principle grounds by Jyly/August 2013 in an undeniable way. Development of Classrooms and Girls Hostel is nearing finish. The University offers a large number of its PG, UG and Professional Programs through two of its Colleges called University College and University Post Graduate College, one arranged in Karimnagar Town and the other at Godavarikani. Additionally, there are moe than 160 partnered Government and Private Colleges spread far and wide over the whole Karimnagar District. The University by and by has nine resources and offers all significant courses of Science, Law, Commerce and Management, Oriental Languages, Arts and Social Sciences. The University Constituent Colleges are by and by offering the Programs, for example, M.A.(English, Telugu, Urdu, Economics and Sociology), M.Sc.(Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science and Food Science and Technology, Physics (Instrumentation), Mathematics), M.Com., M.B.A, M.C.A and B.Pharmacy.
