Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute

Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) is a film and TV organization situated in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The organization was set up in 1995, and enrolled as a Society on 18 August 1995 under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961 and right now is an independent society supported by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India. It has been named after the acclaimed film chief, Satyajit Ray. It has been concurred as an Institute of national significance by Government of India. SRFTI is the head foundation of India for film preparing which stands in line with Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) for its nature of instruction and notoriety in the Indian film industry and an individual from CILECT (International Liaison Centre of Schools of Cinema and Television), an association of the worlds driving schools of film and TV. In 2014, the NDA government proposed to give Focal point of National Excellence status to SRFTI.
