The Institute of Optics Graduate School (SupOptique) trains physicists for new technologies using optics and photonics. Basic and conceptual training, experimental capacities and transversal skills, innovation and entrepreneurship, symbiosis with the industry characterize our graduates. The Institut d'Optique Graduate School is being strengthened in Rhône-Alpes around industrial vision and lighting, and in Bordeaux, at the interface of photonics and digital technology.
STUDENT LIFE: The Institut d'Optique provides a set of administrative services that facilitate the daily life of students, from admission to and throughout their stay on campus. Associated, student-driven, dynamic and varied life is an important part of the institution's life. It concerns engineering students, master students and doctoral students. It allows them to flourish in collective activities and extra-university experiences. Everyone will find the field to express their talent: cultural, sports, social, entrepreneurial activities MASTERS:The Institute of Optics is strongly involved in the masters at its various training sites. He shares teaching with his training as an engineer and involves his teacher-researchers in the pedagogy of the masters.
DOCTORATE: For doctoral training, the Laboratoire Charles Fabry (LCF) is part of the laboratories of the Doctoral School " Ondes et Matière " (EDOM, ED288) and the Doctoral School "Science and Information Technologies and Treatment Of the Signal "(STITS, ED422), both of the University Paris-Sud. Each year, the CFL groups offer Master's internships (on average about 20 per year) and theses (on average about 10 per year) on subjects covering a wide spectrum of optics, from upstream to downstream : Optics in atomic and quantum physics, nanophotonics, lasers, materials and functions of nonlinear optics, optics of information, optical components and treatments, optical instruments and metrology.
EMBEDDED LIGHTING SYSTEM:The Institut d'Optique Graduate School responded, in partnership with ESTACA and Strate - École de Design, at the request of the French automotive industry of a high level international training in the field of on-board lighting : "Embedded Lighting Systems" (ELS), enabling them to increase their competitiveness. This training has just been labeled "Specialized Master of the Conference of the Grandes Ecoles". She is preparing to host her first promotion in September 2015.The partnership between the three schools uniquely combines the new technologies of optics, mechatronics, power and control systems and design to design tomorrow's lighting systems. The training is open to holders of masters and diplomas of engineers, as well as to the personnel of companies with initial training supplemented by professional experience.
