Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences is a multidisciplinary establishment of higher education and associate degree economical actor in education and research, development and innovation (RDI) within the region of South Ostrobothnia in West Finland. The operations of Seinäjoki UAS are primarily situated on 3 campuses. The number of regular students is 5000 and academic and other staff members 380. Seinäjoki UAS has nineteen Bachelor and seven Master degree programmes. Three-degree programmes are totally taught in English (International Business, Nursing and a masters degree in International Business Management). Also, double degree programmes are available in the fields of technology and business. The Frami area, the most campus of Seinäjoki UAS, serves some 3,000 students. The fields of education on Frami campus embrace technology, culture and design, business, hospitality management, social work, elderly care and forestry. Of the other campuses, Koskenalantie campus has some 600 health care students and Ilmajoki campus some 400 students in the field of natural resources. In addition, Seinäjoki UAS has units also in other municipalities through the Regional Higher Education Center. These units offer multiform adult education in the Cities of Alajärvi, Kauhajoki, Kauhava, Kurikka and Ähtäri. Along with the new Frami F building, the entire Frami area constitutes a unique campus. Multidisciplinary cooperation between the teaching and RDI activities of the different fields will increase, and the opportunities to deepen cooperation with companies will improve further. Our close cooperation with the University Consortium of Seinäjoki will also find new forms. Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences has four faculties. The School of Business and Culture offers education, research and development in the Frami campus in the fields of Business, Entrepreneurship, Cultural Management, design and Library and data Services. The School of Food and Agriculture offers education in Agriculture in Ilmajoki campus and also the following within the Frami campus space in Seinäjoki: hospitality Management, Food processing and Biotechnology, and forestry. The School of Health Care and social work consists of the unit of Heath Care in Koskenalantie campus and also the unit of social work within the Frami campus space, both situated in Seinäjoki. The School of Technology offers education in Seinäjoki, primarily in the premises of the Frami campus area. Seinäjoki University current country rank is twenty-seven. Seinäjoki UAS conducts analysis and development with a clearly practical emphasis, serving teaching and supporting industrial small and medium enterprises (SME) and repair production inside the region. Research and development (R&D) are disbursed in co-operation with regional and national enterprises and organisations. Student involvement in R&D projects is significant to their studies and their objectives of turning into acknowledged specialists in their fields. Nearly a hundred persons-years have been invested within R&D work yearly. Approximately 70 maximise the R&D funding comes from external sources. Many R&D projects involve partners from foreign countries.
