About

The Tamil Nadu National Law School is a University set up to give quality legitimate training by the Tamil Nadu National Law School Act, 2012. The School is situated in a 25 acre of land in the Tiruchirppalli-Dindigul NH-45 and 9.6 km from Tiruchirappalli Railway Junction, at Navalurkuttappattu. The Tamil Nadu National Law School is a private college set up with the underlying commitment of Rs.100 crores from the Government of Tamil Nadu. The Noble Vision and the brain child of the Honble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr. Amma is acknowledged with the foundation of the main Tamil Nadu National Law School with International Standard at Srirangam (TK) in Thiruchirappalli area. The establishment stone was laid by the Honble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr. J Jayalalithaa on 13 February 2012. The school is the main national level foundation in the condition of Tamil Nadu to disperse learning and information of law, legitimate procedures, support and aptitude in legal organization keeping pace with the changing worldwide situation and to meet the difficulties achieved by globalization. The School is declared open for confirmation in the scholarly year 2013-2014 by the Honble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr. J Jayalalithaa at a function held in Srirangam on 3rd June 2013. Satisfactory infra auxiliary offices like Administrative, Academic, Amenities, Examination and Library Blocs, Hostels for boys and girl students, Games and Sports, Wi-Fi Facility, Health Care Center, Bank, Moot Courts Halls, Mess, Gym, Examination Hall, Auditorium, Faculty and Staff Quarters and additionally Guest House have been built with universal models. About academics/campuses/affiliated colleges

The undergraduate courses offered by the university are only LAW courses and are as follows: BA LLB (Hons.) B.Com LLB (Hons.) The admission into the campus is dependent on the merit list-cum-preference after clearing CLAT entrance exam. The allotment of candidates is to various NLUs will also be based on merit-cum-preference. The university allows the top 2500 candidates in the merit list to take part in the counselling. There is also NRI entrance criteria for taking the admission in the university. The university has Student Body Association, comprised of one president and a vice-president. The university also has various committees as listed below: Legal Aid Committee Cultural Committee Sports Committee Mess Committee Photography club Reading Club Eco Club, and more.
University Statistics

Recollecting the challenges in the initial period of the school, Prof Murugavel said the State government, particularly Ms. Jayalalithaa, played a key role in the establishment of the Law School. It admitted 100 students for the five year integrated B.A,.LLB (Hons) in the first year itself. The students’ strength had gone up to 260. It was about to admit 200 more students for the current academic year.
