The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc) is a national institution for fundamental research in the mathematical and physical science was founded by Alladi Ramakrishnan in 1962. Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India and by the Government of Tamil Nadu supports research at IMSc. IMSc has an outstanding scientific library and a computing facility containing the fastest academic computer in India with dedicated high speed network. The courses include, Mathematics, Theoretical Computer science, Theoretical Physics and Computational biology.
The Institute of Mathematical Sciences offers Graduate and Post-Doctoral Programmes with hundred researchers including faculty members, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students and nearly ten post-doctoral fellows from all over the world.
