Tianjin University of Technology and Education

Tianjin University of Technology and education (TUTE) is founded in 1979, it is the first normal university in China to produce vocational teachers. In March 2010, the school was renamed as Tianjin University of Technology and Education. In March 2012, Ministry of Education and Tianjin Municipal Government signed an official agreement to co-sponsor TUTE. 17000 full-time students are studying on campus. TUTE has a strong and distinctive faculty, 50.25% of which are professors or associate professors. TUTE has 11 national experiment demonstration units and training centers, 160 training laboratories, 5 innovation bases and advanced laboratory and training equipment worth 0.291 billion Yuan. The value of equipment per student ranks in the forefront of universities in China. TUTE received three 1st prizes of Tianjin Teaching Achievements Awards with the project of “Skills, application and innovation cantered, improving the quality of talents cultivation”.
TUTE has 7 disciplines, namely engineering, education, science, management, economics, literature and art. It has a postdoctoral workstation, a first-level discipline master’s program, a professional degree program and 38 bachelor’s programs. TUTE sticks to the educational philosophy of “combining theoretic studies with hands-on training to achieve all-round development”. Tianjin higher education major scientific and technological research project: “The Credibility of Computer Numerical Simulation Software and its Quantitative Model”, “Field Bus Control System Device Based on Profibus” and The Development of Special TIG Technology to Cast NI-base Superalloy with High AL, Ti and Its Equipment’s”.
Tianjin key Research Bases of Humanities and Social Science - The Research and Development Center of Vocational Ability and Pedagogic Ability: Aiming to contribute to the development of nationwide and Tianjin vocational education, relying on the Tianjin key discipline of “Vocational and Technical Education”, the laboratory has been conducting research in the fields of social occupations and vocational education teacher development, the formation and evaluation of the professional ability of vocational school teachers, the development of the disciplinary system of vocational and technical education, the training regularity of vocational teachers, and the regularities in the development of Tianjin characteristic vocational education and its pedagogic ability requirement for teachers.
