Tongling University stands as one of the universities of recent times. Though the university has been established in recent times and possesses a very less historical background, it leads among all the universities of china in the streams of economy, management, law & literature. The University is a higher learning institution and is famous for its provincial application-oriented model based teaching. The university was founded and established in the year 2003. The un9iversity is situated in the Anhui province within the city of Tongling. Later on in the upcoming latest decade of 21st century, the university has decided to introduce itself to higher education in a global manner, i.e., the university has established cooperative relationships and friendly collaborations with more many universities in United States, Korea, UK, Argentina. In year of 2008, the university appointed & put forward a teacher to St. Thomas University, Chile. Since 2010, the university has enabled the movement of scholars among universities globally, more than 30 visiting scholars were sent to cooperative universities annually and more than 10 scholars from abroad universities in US, Korea, Argentina were allowed for study within the campuses of Tongling.

There were two campuses currently holding the university. The total area would measure almost or more than 873,630 square meters among which construction area of about 338,000 square meters. The university is highly equipped with teaching facilities and equipments that would make a worth of about 59 million Yuan.
