The Pontifical University of Salamanca is a private Roman Catholic university based in Salamanca, Spain. Isabel del Arco Gómez is the Director of the University. It was established in 1983. Spanish Language and Culture Courses at the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca combine a rigorous academic program with a wide variety of cultural activities. The Faculty of Theology analyses the legacy of Blessed Mary Eugene of the Child Jesus OCD: The Faculty of Theology inaugurated this morning the Church Chair, Secularity, Consecration under the title Blessed Mary Eugene of the Child Jesus OCD: Prophetic Spirit for the 21st Century, in the Aula Francisco Suárez SJ In the opening act they have been Present the dean of Telogia, Gonzalo Tejerina;The president of the Spanish Conference of Secular Institutes (CEDIS), Vicenta Estellés; The representative of the Secular Institute Notre-Dame de Vie, Ana Aguado; The Provincial of the Discalced Carmelites, Miguel Márquez, and the professor of the Faculty of Theology, Francisco Garcia. After the inauguration, the conferences were held in which members of the secular NDV Institute, of the Studium Notre-Dame de Vie and of the Faculty of Theology of the University participated. The dean of the Faculty of Theology has highlighted the work of the different professors held in the Faculty and their interest in the study of the founders of the Secular Institutes. "Continuing with this objective we present the figure of Blessed Mary Eugene, founder of the Secular Institute Our Lady of Life (...) These are charismatic figures, to create something new in the Church and the spirit through its figure has become Present in it ".
