The French University in Egypt was created in its gift kind by a presidential decree Feb 2002. The French University of Egypt may be a personal establishment of a scientific, cultural and skilled nature; it's ruled by Law 101 of July 1992 on the creation of personal universities and also the cooperation agreement in March 2003 between the University and also the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is composed of three faculties: Business, Engineering, and Applied Languages. Each faculty is composed of different departments. The university uses French (mainly), English and Arabic languages in teaching, and its graduate’s area unit able to use these 3 languages in any work domain associated with their specialization.
The university consist of different departments such as Faculties of Applied Languages, Engineering, Management and Information System with different sub courses in these departments. The Centre for analysis in engineering science (CRI) of the French University of Egypt was created in Apr 2013 with the aim of federating analysis in engineering science between the 3 colleges, namely, school of Engineering, school of Management and therefore the school of Applied Languages. The university comprised of 2 campuses one is undergraduate campus and other is postgraduate campus. There are 3 teaching languages courses, double diplomas and French systems and programs. The university have MOU with University of Savoie for faculty of engineering for a new course on renewed energy.
The university ranked in top 32 universities in Egypt providing undergraduate and Post graduate programs. The students are divided among different departments and categorised in sub departments. The staffs are also divided departments wise and they have exposure of different research in collaboration of other universities like Toulouse university, Paris 6 university and University of Savoie. Université Française d’Égypte established in 2002 and Dr. Hassan KhairAllah is president of the university and university directed by Dr. Fabien Flori and Dr.(general) Kamal Sabry. The university has organised first Franco-Egyptian workshop on computing, with the theme "Smart, Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing" held in January 2014. UFE sends professors to different universities in France for Postgraduate studies as; Ahmed Ali, works at the LAAS laboratory at Toulouse university, Mootaz Allam, who is currently making researches at the Informatics laboratory at Paris 6 university and Ahmed Gamal, currently making postgraduate studies at the ENSPS (École Nationale Supérieure de Physique de Stasbourg) laboratory in the field of signals treatment. Different visitors exhavge their views on research in UFE as, Alain Vailly gave lecture on Modelling, Vélina Slavova on bases of information, Eve Lamendour on Marketing and Pascale Coupard to teach Management Risks for students in the 4th year in the Management department.
