The Abdelhamid Ibn Badis Mostaganem University, formally established in 1987, brought together the faculties of Science (Science and Technology, Law and Business Studies and Social Sciences), Faculty of Humanities and the Arts and the Institute of Science and Technology of Sports and Physical Activities (sports science). By its staff, budget and the number of research laboratories, it is the main institution of higher education in the province of Mostaganem and included in the five major universities Algeria. L Mostaganem University currently has 07 academic sites across the city of Mostaganem. It also has a faculty of 830 teacher’s academic standing and a population of 28,000 students. Lessons are taught in traditional courses (31 courses) in which are found around 18,000 students, and courses LMD (10 areas of training) that include 10,000 students, divided into cycles of Bachelors and Masters. Every year Mostaganem University trains about 4,000 graduates who are available to socio-economic sectors of the region. The brightest students pursue within the University postgraduate Magister and PhD courses in various scientific fields. Thus, more than 150 PhD theses and dissertations Magister are supported annually in Mostaganem.
