The University of Freiburg is a public research university located in in Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. This was founded in 1457 by Habsburg, this is the second university in Austrian-Habsburg Territory, first is University of Vienna. Today University of Freiburg is a fifth lodest university of Germany by teaching the humanities of long traditions, social and natural sciences. The university is having 11 faculty members who attract students in Germany as well as it attracts 120 other countries. It constitutes about 16% of foreign students. Its main motto is “The Truth Will Set You free”. It is having some greatest minds of Western Tradition it includes some important persons like Friedrich Meinecke, Max Weber, Paul Uhlenhuth, David Daube, Johann Eck, Hans-Georg Gadamer, Friedrich Hayek, Edmund Husserl, Martin Heidegger, Hannah Arendt, Rudolf Carnap and Ernst Zermelo. Originally the university started with four faculties. The universities establishment is belongs to second wave of German University researches in Middle Ages, like the University of Basel and the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen.
