University of Hafr Albatin was established in 2014 and it is a public iuniversityu in Saudi located in Hafr Albatin city in the eastern province. It was founded by royal decree by King Abdullah in April 3, 2014. UOHB is academically divided into two ancient civilisations; first I University of Dammam for education for girls and other one is King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals for boys, which have continued since its inception until the date of announcement of the university operates under the parent umbrella of the university in Dhahran Community College. The university consist of different colleges such as, College of Engineering, Faculty of Science and Computer Engineering, College of Business Administration, Community College, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences (for girls), Faculty of Sciences and supporting studies, Faculty of Education. UHOB also have outside campuses as, Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Khafji, Faculty of Arts and Sciences in the upper village, Faculty of Arts and Sciences -Noaryya. The university ranked in top 60 universities in Saudi Arabia. The university contains 720 academic staff, 544 administrative staff and 16000 students. The unit is committed to providing high-quality information services that foster a productive academic and research environment for students, faculty, staff, and management at UOHB. UOHB supports and operates 10 computer laboratories and 2200 network points, which provides security and confidentiality to the data or information exchanged for research work. The university also conducts the student exchange programs from one university to another for research. Headed by the president, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Suwaiyan. Their vision for university is to reach to reach in their role as providers of scientific competencies which meet the needs of the labor market and compete with the world’s most prestigious universities – thus leading us toward the ultimate goal of serving the fatherland and contributing toward the movement of intellectual, industrial and economic development in 2030 and national transformation target set for 2020. UHOB conducted a delegation headed by Al Nafi visits the colleges in Al Nuairiya and Al Qariya Al Olia and recently, the university council of Hafr al-Batin gives its approval to establish a scientific council, academic programs and plans for the universities. The university of Hafr Al-Batin’s staff pledged allegiance to the two Mohammads. The President of the University of Hafr Al-Batin sponsored the First Graduation Ceremony.
