University of La Rioja was established in 1992 in Logrono, LaRioja, Spain. It is a coeducational higher education institution. It is an international university with a concept of 100% online university. It has students in 79 countries. It offers courses in the fields of Business and Economics, Arts and humanities, Social work and labour studies, Law, Engineering and technology, Communication and Marketing. It teaches various programs of masters, courses in Spanish language, summer courses, and foreign culture. It has presented project “Iberus”along with the public universities of Zaragoza, Navarra, and Lledia and has earned Campus International Excellence. It is a non-profit public higher education institution. It provides higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. It also provides academic and non-academic services including library, sport facilities, online courses, administrative services, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses.
University of La Rioja has integrated new technologies and students enjoy a personalised learning system through virtual classrooms. It has inaugurated from various existing schools and colleges. Every student have a personal tutor to guide them and teach communication and management skills, language training. It provides internships in various companies and creates a cosmopolitan atmosphere which enables hundreds of visits to campuses in Europe, America, Asia and Australia. It is the first campus to teach Spanish in Bachelor of Oenology in 1996. It started offering studies in History and Bachelor of Science Music. It is the first Spanish public campus which provides training entirely through the internet. It is now offering Bachelor of Science in labour and most of the master’s program and graduate courses. It is part of Group nine Universities, which brings together nine public campuses.
University of La Rioja contains 14,000 students with 450 members of teaching and research staff and 250 members of Administration and Services. The ratio of students to teachers remains as 15:1. The campus conducts teaching, Research and culture activities in 200,000 square meters. There are more than 100 areas of scientific centres, Institutes, laboratories, observatories and productive didactic units for scientific and technological activities.
By 2016 there are more than nine hundred academic researchers and one hundred and four active research projects in six scientific areas within eighteen areas defined by Scientific and Technological Research.
