The University of Lapland is the northernmost of Science and Art University. University of the Arctic to train science and art experts in the very near the Arctic Circle in a modern campus. University-educated about 4400 students, and up to one-fifth of new students are international students.
Our university education and research areas include educational sciences, law, applied art, social sciences, as well as northern and Arctic issues. We train around one fifth of Finnish lawyers and over a quarter of the field of art and of highly educated experts.

Our university is internationally recognized and clearly profiled as the Arctic and the Northern Science and Art University. The global economic and political changes and global warming heightened influence in the Arctic region.
