Université Paris-Saclay is a French world-class research university located between Paris and Versailles, an area known for science and innovation. It brings together universities, grandes écoles and research organizations in a unique model: members retain their identity and resources and agree to coordinate their work and pool certain resources in projects that are defined and implemented jointly. The foundation for scientific cooperation Campus Paris-Saclay (FCS) aims to define and implement a strategy of joint scientific cooperation to develop research, education and innovation and contribute to increasing knowledge, expanding solutions to social questions and developing a knowledge-based economy. The research in the university is done in ten departments Chemistry, Electrical, Optical and bio Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical, Energy and Process Engineering, Physics of the two Infinites, Physics of Light and Matter (PHOM), Geosciences and Astrophysics, Life Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Information Science and Technology. It provides provides students with quality education that facilitates access to employment. The university enhances students’ knowledge in various scientific and economic sectors, both in academic settings and in specific sectors (education, legal professions, health professions, services etc.). In this context, Université Paris-Saclay offers attractive and internationally recognized master’s level education programs backed by high-level research. It has partnerships with universities and institutions all around the world. It has a program for Student entrepreneurship which is Digital Entrepreneur track. The first batch of this “Digital Entrepreneur track” started its school year on February, 2nd 2016 with a word from its sponsor, Xavier Niel, co-founder of 42. More than 120 students from Université Paris-Saclay members were selected. Experts and coaches helped students polish their digital project and make it real, to convince a professional jury. Then they pitched their startup to investors and business accelerators. The best ones even presented their project in London. More than ten startups got ready to launch by the end of the program, dealing with video games, a music and dance studio, connected pens for online penspinning contests or energy savings, etc. The success stories of the university can be seen in various forms like GALEN project team from Inria Saclay – Île-de-France research center is part of an international consortium: the I-Support project Launched as a consortium in March 2015, I-Support aims to design a robotics system to assist elderly people bathe independently and many more.
