University of Technology of Compiegne was established in 1972 by Guy Deniélou, as an experimental university for technological engineering with students around 4700. It offers for engineers, Masters and PhD students. The UTC has been ranked fourth best French engineering school in the "Usine nouvelle" magazine, February 2014. It interacts with society and industry by anticipating the researchs requirements of companies and by facilitating the professional insertion of its students.
UTC’s identity and policy placed it in the avant garde of progress, a position it has held for 35 years. The campus has several locations in Compiègne providing students and researchers with an up to date environment and facilities such as research labs, conference centers and others. The teaching model is a mix between North-American and French traditions.
