University of Rome is the largest university in Italy and entire Europe which was founded in 1303. In Italian it is called as the Sapienza-Università di Roma is an autonomous state university in Italy. Sapienza is ranked number in Italy, number 8 in Europe and 62nd in the world. It has produced several Nobel laureates one among them is Enrico Fermi. It is the member of several national and international groups and having collaborative research work with European Spatial Development Planning, Partnership of a European Group of Aeronautics and Space Universities, CINECA, Santander Network, Institutional Network of the Universities from the Capitals of Europe, Mediterranean Universities Union etc. University is having 63 Departments and 11 Faculties. From 2011-2012 University has started the school of advanced studies which evaluates students based on educational merit and helps them build a career in the field of interest or creativity.
