The Vesalius College mission is to educate students in an open and tolerant environment, within a multi-disciplinary curriculum designed without artificial barriers between disciplines, in order to prepare them for academic, professional, and personal success. Vesalius College, also known commonly as VeCo, is a college situated in the heart of Brussels, Belgium. The college is operated in association with the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. It is named after Andreas Vesalius, one of the first and foremost pioneers in the study of Anatomy who lived during the Renaissance period. The college was founded in 1987 and offers three-year Bachelors degree programs in accordance with the Bologna process. Vesalius College is one of the few educational institutions in Belgium which teaches exclusively in English. The College’s faculty is dedicated to instilling a spirit of critical inquiry and ethical responsibility; and to using teaching methods that emphasize academic independence, integrity, and an analytical approach to problem-solving. Vesalius College brings together an outstanding faculty of young scholars and seasoned professors with a passion for teaching. Educated at the world’s leading universities, VeCo professors take pride in providing students with leading knowledge, but also in continuing to publish and engage in international research activities.
