Washington and Lee University (Washington and Lee or W&L) is a private liberal arts university in Lexington, Virginia, United States. This university founded in 1749. The university is named in the honour of two great persons who played a vital role in university development. In recent days university, has about 2000 students for graduation programme and 300 students in school of law. In current year, i.e. 2017 according to US News and World Report rankings, this universities undergraduate college stands 11th between all the national liberal arts school while the law school is 28th among all the law schools. Almost 1100 courses are offered by the university and they are taught by the experts in the respective subjects. Robert H. Adams, Ronald J. Bacigal , Newton D. Baker, Matt Bevin are some of the notable alumni of law and politics while Drew Baur, H. F. Lenfest, Bill Miller are alumni of Business department. Joseph L. Goldstein a well-known Noble prize winner is also the alumni of W&L University.
