The wellcome trust sanger institute is also known as “The sanger centre”.It is a british genomic and genetics research institute which is a non-profit organization, the wellcome trust sanger institute is primarily funded by wellcome Trust. The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute is located on the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus which is by the village of Himxton, near by the Cambridge. The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute shares it location with the European Bioinformatics Institute. The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute was established in the year 1992 and it is named as The Sanger Centre which was named after double Nobel Laureate,Frederick Sanger, this center is known as the large scale DNA sequencing center which was participated in the Human Genome Project. And went on to make the largest single contribution to the gold standard sequence of the human genome. From its inception the Institute established and has maintained a policy of data sharing, and does much of its research in collaboration.
