Wetland and Aquatic Research Canter

Wetland and Aquatic Research Canter is created by an act of Congress in 1879, it conducts relevant and objective research, develops new approaches and technologies, and disseminates scientific information needed to understand, manage, conserve, and restore wetlands and other aquatic and coastal ecosystems and their associated plant and animal communities throughout the Nation and the Southeast. USGS WARC collaborates with several partners to fulfil committed scientific mission.   WARC scientists are located throughout the Southeast and Caribbean. The two main centre of Wetland and Aquatic Research Canter are in Gainesville, Florida, and Lafayette, Louisiana. It also has scientists based in offices in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Davie, Florida; New Orleans, Louisiana; St. Petersburg, Florida; and St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands.   The main area of the Research into life history, successful conservation, and recovery of threatened and endangered species listed under the Endangered Species.
