Wiley College

Wiley College is a historically black college (HBCU) founded in 1873 in order to provide higher education for students with a will to learn and improve their lives. Though it was established in the Methodist tradition, Wiley College does not require students to be members of the Methodist faith. The physical plant of Wiley College occupies 70+ acres. Academic and administrative structures, residence halls, and the Presidents home comprise the campus 17 permanent buildings, all of which have Internet connectivity. The College has done an exceptional job blending the old and new architectural structures to achieve an attractive architectural balance. Wiley also ranked in the western region for highest acceptance rate among comprehensive colleges offering baccalaureate degrees, as well as having the largest percentage of alumni donors.
