Woodland Community College

Woodland Community College is a 2-year California Community College in Woodland, California. It is a part of the Yuba Community College District. In 2008, Woodland Community College (WCC) has provided classes to the residents of Woodland, Esparto, Knights Landing and Colusa County since 1975. With growth, all around the college, in both Yolo and Colusa coun¬ties, WCC opened its new learning resource center in 2007. The 72,000-square-foot building doubled the blueprint of WCC, adding 25 new lecture and classrooms, an expanded library, math and writing labs and a large community event room. Renovation and upgrades of the original buildings are in progress. A newly remodelled student services center opened in 2010. In addition to the renovations, the facilities master plan calls for the construction of a performing arts center and a multipurpose physical education facility. The development of the facilities at WCC stands as a symbol of the commitment of the Yuba Community College District Board of Trustees to the educational needs of the communities it serves. Mission: The mission of Woodland Community College is to provide high-quality education that fosters student success & lifelong learning opportunities for the communities we serve in an environment that values diversity, individuality, mutual respect, civic responsibility, and the free exchange of ideas. The Yuba Community College District spans eight counties and nearly 4,200 square miles in beautiful, rural, northern California. There are colleges in Marysville and Woodland, an educational center in Clearlake and Sutter County, and outreach operations at Beale Air Force Base and in Williams in Colusa County.
