Woosuk University is a private university located in Wanju County, North Jeolla, South Korea. Established in 1979, Woosuk University is a private higher education institution located in the large town of Wanju-gun, North Jeolla. In 1980 it Converted to a co-ed college and renamed as Jeonju Woosuk College. In 1982 it was relocated from the Dongsan Campus to the present Samnye Campus. In 1982 Established the Graduate School of Education. In 1992 Upgraded as a university and renamed as Jeonju Woosuk University. In 1995 Renamed as Woosuk University. In 2000 Dr Suh Chang-Hoon inaugurated as Chairperson of the Board of Governors. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Korea, Woosuk University is a coeducational higher education institution.
