Xiangnan University is located in Chenzhou at the foot of Wangxian Mountain and it is a public university specializing in teacher-training and medical science. It has an enrollment of 17048 full-time students, with library book collection of 1330,000 volumes and has a teaching faculty of over 780, 157of whom are professors, archiaters, and researchers.
