Yibin University was Authorized by the Ministry of Education of Chinaï¼Åon May 11, 2001 as a comprehensive university under the direct administration of Sichuan province. It is located in Yibin, Which is well-known as the first city along the great Yangtze River. As his home town university, the former Chinese Premier, Li Peng, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress autographed the university name during his first inspection. Qiao shi, former Chairman of the StandingCommittee of the National People’s Congress also autographed his encouragement for the university. The great concern of the leaders of the state government has effectively promoted the construction and development of Yibin University. Founded in 2001, Yibin University is a higher education institution located in the small city of Yibin (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Sichuan. Officially accredited/recognized by the Department of Education, Sichuan Province, Yibin University is a large (enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Yibin University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Yibin University also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services. There are seven basic fields of study in terms of literature, science, engineering, management, economics, law, education with 13,000 students recruited from 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in the whole country. Ever since its founding the university has been honored with a lot of titles, such as the Unit of National civilization, the model School of the National language and literal work, Advanced Unit of the Nation-wide Mass sports, the Top 400 of The National Forestations as well as the Advanced Unit of the Nation-wide Moral Civilization etc. Yibin University has established cooperative relationships with a couple of universities in USA, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Canada, Korea and so on. By far, we have enrolled exchange students only. At present, we plan to enroll about 20 international students of Chinese Language study.
