Qazvin University of Medical Sciences (QUMS) is a medical school in Qazvin Province of Iran. Located in northwest of Tehran in the city of Qazvin, the university was established in 1984, and fell under the Ministry of Health and Medical Education in 1986. The university offers degrees in 4 schools including residencies and fellowships, and administers all major hospitals and clinics throughout the city and province of Qazvin. The foundation stone of the university was established in 1363 through a popular partnership and elected board of trustees as a medical university. In 1364, the university took its first step in teaching with 75 students in medical sciences through made to the University of Medical Sciences and Health Services, the decisions and general examinations. The Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Qazvin University of Medical Sciences and Health Services is committed to training and empowering manpower and production of new knowledge and technology to provide, maintain and improve the health of Qazvin province.
