University of Botswana

Founded in 1982, the University of Botswana is situated in Botswana. The university is considered as the first institution of higher education in the country. The university’s motto is ‘ Education is a Shield’.

The university comprises of four campuses of which two are located in the capital city Gaborone, one in Francistown, and one in Maun. The university is made up of six faculties which include Faculty of Business, Education, Engineering, Humanities, Science and Social Sciences. The Faculty of Medicine was later added to the list.

The university is situated beside a stadium which is accessible for university use. The university also facilitates a free medical clinic and counseling services.
