University of Twente is a public university located in Enschede, Netherlands. It was established on 1961 and offers research and degree programs in social, behavioral sciences and in engineering also. It was earlier founded as the Technische Hogeschool Twente in 1961and changed to Universiteit Twente in 1986. Prof.Dr. H. Brinksma is the current rectior of the university who took the post in 2009 and was reappointed in 2012. Mr. V. van der Chijs (President Executive Board) and Ir. K.J. van Ast (Vice-President) are the executive board members. There are Six Faculties at the University of Twente which includes school of Management and Governance, Behavioral Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Science and Technology, Faculty of Geo-information Sciences and Earth Observation.The enrollment includes 3,300 Admin staff and 9,456 students.
