Biography

The scientific expertise of Dr. Oya Tagit is tightly connected with the design, synthesis and nanoscale surface engineering of organic/inorganic hybrid bionanomaterials and 'smart' surfaces for applications in sensing, molecular diagnostics and drug delivery. She obtained her PhD at the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology, University of Twente, The Netherlands and also worked at the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering (IMRE, A Star), Singapore as a visiting researcher within this period. After completing her PhD, she moved to Universite Paris Sud, France and joined the NanoBioPhotonics group as a postdoctoral researcher. She obtained a Marie Curie Fellowship as the Research Based University Chair of Excellence (RBUCEUP) to implement her project. Currently, she is a member of Tumor Immunology group at the Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc), Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
