As per available reports about 120 journals, 182 Conferences, 50 workshops are presently dedicated exclusively to genetic diseases and about 2,400 articles are being published on the current trends in genetic predisposition and susceptibility. In terms of research annually, USA, India, Japan, Brazil and Canada are some of the leading countries where maximum studies related to genetic susceptibility to diseases are being carried out. As reported in Journal of Gene Technology “genetic predisposition can be defined as a hereditary character which defines the susceptibility to a health condition. Genetic predisposition can be enhanced and decreased by the environmental factors. This increased chance of disease development is mainly due to the genetic variation from the parents. Apart from genetic factors there are other environmental and life style issues that determines the predisposition to a diseases”.
The Journal of Gene Technology is an academic journal – hosted by OMICS International – a pioneer in open access publishing–and is listed among the top 10 journals in genetic pre disposition. Each year research scientists have noticed a rise in the number of congresses being held in this field. The Journal of Gene Technology provides a unique platform to researchers and scientist to explore the advanced and latest research developments in the field of genetic testing, susceptibility and pre disposition thus bridging the gap between researchers and young scientists.
OMICS International – a pioneer in organizing international conferences (5th Cell and Gene Therapy Conference May 19-21, 2016, San Antonio, USA Cell and Gene Therapy Conference is to ameliorate the knowledge, awareness, and education on cell and gene therapy leading to the discovery of genetic and cellular therapies which aid to alleviate the human disease as it is the most significant emerging technology in the eyes of Medical, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals and Academia.
