The authors summarized the effect of ecosystems and environmental changes on increased infectious disease spreading globally and highlighted the increased evidences that a global coordinated action is needed to limit and combat the worldwide spreading of infectious disease. This is a very important and relevant topic that needs to be emphasized in journals to increase awareness of the issue.
