Platelet dysfunction is a common complication in uremic patients, contributing to an increased risk of bleeding and thrombotic events. Whole blood platelet aggregation and release reactions play a crucial role in hemostasis, and their dysregulation can have significant clinical implications. This article provides an overview of the importance of testing for platelet aggregation and release reactions in uremic patients.
