AGH University of Science and Technology is one of the leading institutes of technology and the largest technical university in Poland, located in Kraków. The university was established on 20th October, 1919, until 1949 known as the Academy of Mining, founded after long-lasting endeavours which had started in 1782, and was formerly known as the University of Mining and Metallurgy.
