The Andrews University was established in 1874 and was moved onto Barrien Springs in 1901 on 16 boxcars. Name changed to Emmanuel Missionary Collage. EMC was changed later to Andrews university in 1960. This university was started by Mr. Bell, a teacher with twelve students in Battle creek, Mich. The university is named after John Navins Andrews (1829-1883) who was a big thinker in the 19th century Seventh day Adventist Church. The collage offers opportunities in choosing the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies. Students from across the globe are attracted to the university for its undeniable quality studies and the faculty. The world report says that this university is one of the most culturally diverse universities in the United Nations. The University is all about thinking, Faith focused and dynamic international community. 885 students representing 98 countries, fourth in the nation for racial diversity and ninth highest ranked in percentage of international students.
