Going for making a self-ruling and responsible organization of higher taking in, the college was set up by the Government of Uttarakhand by Doon University Act, 2005 (Uttaranchal Adhiniyam Sankhaya 18 of 2005) and perceived under 12 (B) of UGC Act.
