Geetanjali University (GU) is located in Udaipur, Rajasthan, surrounded by the range of Aravali Hills. The University was founded by Shri J. P. Agarwal in the year 2011 with a vision to promote quality in education and excellence in research which will benefit the society. The University is designed with spacious and well structured buildings with state of the art facilities like audio visual equipment, virtual classrooms, well prepared labs, computer labs, hygienic cafeteria, beautiful and comfortable hostels, etc. Geetanjali university has Geethanjali medical colleges, pharmacy colleges, dental research institute, college and school of nursing, college of physiotherapy. university has providing the seven graduate programmes like MBBS, B.Sc( medical, cardio perfusion, medical lab technician, optometry, radiotherapy technology), Bachelor in hospital administration. 30 masters degree programmes in different fields, and one doctorate programme. Under the geetanjali college of nursing offering one diploma programme, two graduate programmes, four post graduate programmes, and one doctorate programme. Under the college of physiotherapy offering 1graduate programme, 1diploma programme, one doctorate programme. Under the pharmacy college offering one diploma programme, three postgraduate programme, one doctorate programme. And under the dental research institute only one graduate programme offering.
Research and development is a very integral part of Geetanjali University and the curriculum being taught in the institutes under the university. The courses in these institutions are research based and the students are encouraged to do R&D on their end on any given topic. The curriculum itself allows the students to participate in the research work according to their field of study. The students in the university are active participants of the research work done by their teachers or themselves. Every course has a particular part wherein they have to do research on either a voluntarily chosen topic or given by their respective teachers. The teachers themselves does research work and get their work published in journals which not just gain them fame but also enhances their knowledge. This advanced knowledge is then imbibed to the students. Some of the research works are joint ventures of teachers and students. This strengthens the relationship between student & teacher.
